AISTS - Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport

The AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology), is committed to professionalising sports management through three core activity areas: continuing education, applied research and providing an engaging platform for industry connections.

Founded as a not-for-profit organisation in 2000, AISTS’s Founding Members - the International Olympic Committee, the EPFL, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud - all recognise the importance of meeting the evolving knowledge needs of today’s sports managers.

Through its education services, the AISTS prepares tomorrow’s international sports managers with the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Sports Administration held each year in Lausanne; provides professional development opportunities to international sport organisations; and onsite training for major event organisers.

The AISTS’s applied research arm conducts independent and commissioned projects, in addition to helping sports organisations and federations navigate an increasingly complex sport landscape through advisory services. The AISTS focus lie in four key competency areas, namely: sport events, sport business, sport technology and innovation, and sustainability in sport.

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a joint venture between the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the University of Neuch�tel, the City and State of Neuchatel.

Using a multi-disciplinary approach CIES provides research, top-level education and consulting services to the sports world with the aim of overcoming the complexities of sport in today's society and improving how it is governed and managed across all sports.

FIAS - International Sambo Federation

International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) is a non-governmental organization and the only recognized international body being in charge of SAMBO development in the world. Nowadays, 88 national SAMBO federations are affiliated to the FIAS membership and 120 countries are developing SAMBO around the world.
SAMBO is included into the program of the Asian, European and Central American Games. FIAS annually conducts numerous international events at all the continents, including the world championships, continental championships and the President?s Cups.

FIBA – International Basketball Federation

FICS - International Federation of Sports Chiropractic

The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic / Federation Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS) is comprised of national chiropractic sports councils worldwide and individual members, and has affiliations with international organizations within the chiropractic profession and the world of sports.

FISU - International Federation of University Sports

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) is responsible for the organization and governance of worldwide competitions for student-athletes between the ages of 17 and 28(25 from 2018). It was founded in 1949 as the world governing body of national university sports organizations and currently has 170 member associations from 5 continental regions. Being the only international federation with more than 60 sports and disciplines on its competition programme, FISU stages biennial events. They include two Universiades (Winter & Summer) and 46 World University Championships. FISU permanently links the academic world with sports by hosting a number of educational events as well ? conferences, forums and seminars. These events closely assist in promoting sport as one of the main components of the educational system.

GAISF - Global Association of International Sports Federations

GAISF is composed of International Sports Federations and other international sport and event related organizations. GAISF members are divided into five groups: ASOIF and AIOWF for those on the Olympic Summer and Winter Program, ARISF for IFs that are recognized by the IOC, AIMS for IFs that are not yet in any of the other groupings. The fifth group brings together all associated members which are sport-related organizations that organize events or support sport in various capacities.

GAISF’s vision is to present a united voice of sport in support of the Olympic ideals and of the Olympic movement and promote sport at every level and in every corner of the world, from grassroots to elite, wherever its members have national organizations and events.

The mission of GAISF is to serve and represent the common interests of all International Federations and coordinate the efforts of all those that aspire to become IOC recognized and, eventually, wish to enter the Olympic Program.

The IFBB organize worldwide in a yearly basis over 2.000 events. IFBB is member of SportAccord (World Association of International Sport Federations) International World Games Association, UNESCO, ICSSPE (International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education), amongst many other prestigious international bodies, being recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia and byt he Executive Committtee of PASO as the sole International Sport Federation for the sport of Bodybuilding and Fitness, in full compliance with the WADA Code.

International Zurkhaneh Sports And Koshti Pahlavani Federation

The International Zurkhāneh Sport Federation (IZSF) was established on October 10, 2004 to promote varzesh-e pahlavāni on a global level. The IZSF aims to regulate and standardize rules for koshti pahlevani and organize international festivals and competitions. In 2010 it started to regulate and organize para-zourkhāneh festivals for disabled athletes. Seventy Two countries are currently members of the IZSF.

The IPF was founded 1973 in the USA.
Since 1976 the IPF is a full member of GAIFS (SportAccord) and the IWGA.
IPF is a founding member of the World Games and participated on all editions of the Games.
Currently the IPF has 101 full member federations on all continents.
Our main event are the IPF Classic World Championships with +800 athletes.

Since 2008 the IPF has two strong partners with ELEIKO SE from Sweden and SBD Apparel from UK.
With those two partners the IPF was able to start working in a professional way.

IWUF - International Wushu Federation

The International Wushu Federation (IWUF), which was established on October 3rd, 1990, is the international federation (IF) which governs wushu in all its forms worldwide. Currently, the IWUF has 149 members, across 5 continental federations worldwide. The IWUF is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and is also a member of both ARISF and SportAccord. The IWUF is devoted to the spread and development of wushu throughout the world, to enrich people's lives by making them healthier, both mentally and physically, and to promote friendship and understanding between all people worldwide through the spirit of sport.
